We take pride in the selection of our breeding stock as well as our standard poodle puppies. Our sires and dams come from coast to coast with focus placed on temperament and looks. They are raised in a family environment resulting in well socialized dogs that are great with children. All of our dogs are AKC registered and are from champion bloodlines. Our goal at Southern Standards is a healthy, well socialized puppy for you and your family.

Babette's babies were born Easter Sunday night. This is her first litter and she's doing a great job of taking of her puppies.



Standard Poodles are among the most intelligent dogs you can own. Its origin is quite controversial. Various theories suggest that the breed was developed in Germany, France or Denmark. France is officially the breeds place of origin. It is certain that the Poodle is descended from the nearly extinct water dog, the Barbet and possibly the Hungarian Water Hound.
